Highly Recommended for Prospective Students outside Japan

Winter AO 2024 (Admissions for the GIGA Program) screening is highly recommended for prospective students outside Japan for following two reasons.

1. No Need to Travel to Japan

There is no need to travel to Japan for applying or for the screening process. Applications to the Winter AO 2024 are submitted in English, and screening is based solely on evaluation of submitted documents and materials. No interview is required. Applications to the other AO screenings (Spring, Summer, or Fall AO screenings) require a visit to Japan for an interview on a designated date.

2. Scholarship Opportunities for International Students

Only international students who apply to the Winter AO 2024 screening and who meet certain requirements are eligible to apply for scholarships available exclusively for GIGA Program International Students. Click here for more details.

Payment period: 11:00a.m., December 10, 2024- 11:00p.m., January 24, 2025 (JST)
Go to "Payment of Application Fee" on "My Page" in the Online Application System and make the application fee payment by credit card.
