To all who are completing a degree program at the Graduate School of Media and Governance

As was the case in March, I will not be able to see you in person at today's graduate commencement ceremony. I am deeply disappointed, especially because many of the students in the Graduate School of Media and Governance complete their degrees in September, and I have been looking forward to this opportunity to directly compliment you on your hard work and share the joy of your academic accomplishment.

This fall, 39 masters' students and 9 doctoral students are receiving their degrees from the Graduate School of Media and Governance.

I imagine that the past few months must have been challenging for you as you were affected by COVID-19 at the crucial time of wrapping up your research. All of you have overcome this hardship and succeeded in completing your degree. I sincerely commend and congratulate you on your efforts.
